The “International Lalon Festival 2025” is set to take place on October 19 at Queens Palace, New York, from 3 pm to 11 pm. The festival will honour the late Lalon legend Farida Parveen, widely known as the “Queen of Lalon Geeti,” for her lifelong dedication to promoting Lalon Shah’s philosophy of spirituality and humanity. Organised by Lalon Parishad USA in association with Bangladesh Club USA, the event will feature performances by renowned artists such as Rizia Parveen, Shahnaz Belly, Shwapnil Shojib, and many others. The festival will be inaugurated by baul singer Shafi Mondal, with New York State Senator Joseph P Addabbo Jr as chief guest. Alongside music, poetry, and dance, the festival will include discussions on Lalon’s teachings under the theme “Revere humanity, and awaken the golden self within.” The event seeks to spread Lalon’s timeless message of equality and love to a global audience, fostering unity and spiritual awareness within the Bangladeshi diaspora.
